The Impossible Banner

We have created a lot of on-line banners over the years, We put a lot of time and skill into getting your design to fit the required max size limits.

This is an example of one of the more complex size challenges. The banner called for a 728x90 that would expand to 728X270. The unexpanded banner called for animated text, a product image, background, 11 images taken from a video clip that had to be animated, and a custom call to action button. The expanded banner called for a streaming video player with custom controls, larger product image, animated text, background and a custom call to action button. What made this project a challenge was the COMBINED file size for both panels had to be no more than 40k. This meant 20k per panel with multiple images and video.

The stock size just for video controls is about 38k, so the first thing we did was re-write the action script for streaming the video and controlling it. We used an advanced algorithm to compress the 11 images for the video clip in order to get the size down but keep the quality as high as possible. We also used many techniques we have developed over the years to get the best look for the smallest size. In this case, we had to re-create the artwork in order to get the best image resolution within such a small file size.

We were able to deliver the design as imagined, on time and budget, while meeting the 40K total size limit. Even if your design is not this complex, our techniques enable the highest quality look within your size parameters.

Five Animatics over a weekend.

Animatic [an-uh-mat-ik]: A preliminary form of a television commercial consisting of a series of drawings with a voice-over, prepared chiefly for test- marketing.

Our client, an ad agency specializing in medical products, was working on a TV commercial for a new drug. Many ideas and story boards were developed and it came down to five that the client wanted to see with more detail. All of them involved special effects and motion graphics. Clearly it was going to take too much time and money to develop all five as full commercials, but they needed more than just story board slides.

With less than three days before the presentation IMD Productions worked from the initial layouts and made five 60 second commercials in an advanced Animatic format that mixed movement, animation and motion graphics with existing materials from the design. Working though the night over a weekend and coordinating with offices on both the East and West coast we got all five done in time to wow the client. The final choice was made and taken to the next level of full production.

Landing pages needed!

Landing Page: In online marketing, a landing page, sometimes known as a "lead capture page" or a "lander", is a single web page that appears in response to clicking on a search engine optimized search result or an online advertisement.

The agency we worked for this time had a client with a very large web site that had data for 60+ housing projects. The web site was older and difficult for users to find the specific complex they wanted. While a large and lengthy re-design of the whole website was in the works, they needed to do something immediately to improve the look, enhance the SEO, and make it less confusing for the people looking for information.

IMD productions took the design mockups and created web landing pages for each single complex and linked all 60 of them back to the existing data. This gave them a new look, easy to use interface, and multiple referring pages for better SEO.

We also create landing pages in HTML5 with animation and movement that is great for sports, entertainment and video game companies.
